The Yankees have signed 35-year old switch-hitting outfielder Randy Winn to a 1-year, $2 million dollar deal. He played in 149 games for the Giants last season and he was 141 for 538 (.262 avg, .671 OPS) with 65 runs scored, 2 homers, 51 RBIs and 16 stolen bases. Winn has now played in 1,601 games in his major league career and he is 1,710 of 5,981 (.286 avg, .762 OPS) with 840 runs scored, 106 homers, 637 RBIs and 209 stolen bases. The thing the Yankees really like about Winn is that he is a good enough defensive player to handle any spot in the outfield.
